Massage FAQs

Q: Should my massage be painful?

A: Your massage therapist will ask which level of pressure you prefer. In short, your massage should NOT be painful or uncomfortable. Feel free to interrupt your practitioner at any time if the pressure is too light or too deep. Different areas of your body may be able to tolerate various levels of pressure. Your massage therapist will also learn which parts of your body are more tolerant of pressure than others. If there’s an area you don’t want to be worked on, please let them know.

Q: What should I do if I have an injury?

A: We require every customer to complete a confidential health history form prior to your session. This is reviewed by our practitioner and they will also perform an in-person consultation and may ask questions about your pain or injury. Tyler has extensive experience with pain & injury relief and is passionate about tackling these issues while keeping you comfortable.

Q: What should I do if I feel sore after my massage?

A: Our practitioner will give you post-session personalized guidance regarding hydration, gentle stretching, and other self-care techniques. He loves to assign homework so you get the most out of your session! Drinking lots of water is always important after any massage or bodywork.

Q: How should I undress for my massage?

A: We want all customers to be comfortable in our space. Tyler has exquisite draping techniques to ensure optimal modesty. Undress to your comfort level; our therapist will tell you how to lay on the table, under the covers, and then leave the room while you’re undressing.
